About our logo...
As one would expect, our logo is designed
to represent the ministry to which we are called. In our mission statement, you can
find that our intent is to support the churches through a variety of
methods. In
designing our logo, there were many factors considered and we hope that
this
page will help you understand what we consider to be the main focus of
our
ministry.
To sum up the ministry
focus in one sentence, it is this:
Encouraging the church through music
and publications
The logo is made up of the following components:
- Blue Background -
The use of blue as a base color for most of our publications is mostly
just
a matter of personal preference. I happen to like the color, as does
Joy.
- Cross -
the cross is above all other logo elements because it is the most
important
symbol in the logo. The cross represents our belief in Jesus, the Son
of
God (God in the flesh), crucified for the satisfaction of God's
holiness,
and raised from the dead for the justification of the believer.
- Roof line -
in conjunction with the cross, it forms a graphic image of a building,
which represents the assembly of believers, otherwise known as the
Church.
- CD - to
represent the music portion of the ministry. While it is not the
ministry, it is a
part of the ministry. The concerts, and the tape and CD recordings are
the
primary means through which we are able to obtain new ministry
opportunities.
- Computer -
to represent electronic forms of communication and publication. The
original paper ministry letters are published on the computer AND
approximately 20% of ministry letter distribution is via email. Also,
the ministry maintains this website to keep visitors informed of
concert schedules, music availability, etc.
- Book - to
represent the print media. In the beginning of this ministry, the
ministry
letters were printed and mailed to approximately 80 individuals and
churches.
By the beginning of 2001, there were over 1200 recipients of
every
ministry letter produced. In addition, there are hundreds of prayer
partner
letters sent out from time to time. In the future, we expect to have
book
published and available for distribution at concerts and through the
website.
